MISSIONS
The FCPA supports, encourages, and desires to enable participation of both student and graduate PA members with opportunities to serve on short term mission trips throughout the world.
This goal is supported through a variety of partnerships and links with Christian organizations that encourage and allow PA participation, such as the Christian Medical & Dental Associations (CMDA) through their Global Health Outreach (GHO); and Mercy Ships.
Fellowship members who are not full time career missionaries may seek Short Term Mission Grants up to $500 (presently) to facilitate their participation with short term mission trips of their choosing,after they have been members of FCPA for at least one (1) year.
While the FCPA does not directly provide or sponsor mission trips,The Fellowship is one of the co-sponsors of the annual Global Health Missions Conference (GHMC) held the 2nd weekend in November each year, at Southeast Christian Church in Louisville, KY. Global Health Missions Conference
More than 2,500 Christian medical professionals, missionaries, Christian mission sending organizations, and an extensive network of Christian-based professional organizations gather and meet to network together.
This Global Health Missions Conference (GHMC) has proven so successful that a second "West Coast" conference is now scheduled each year as well. A truly unique and energizing experience unlike any other conference you have ever attended. Students are specially invited with a designated "Student Track" on the Saturday of the conference.
Career missionary members of FCPA enjoy FREE membership, receive encouragement and support through prayer, and are eligible for limited financial grants offered to support their mission service through our "Serving As Senders" and "Missions Endowment" resource funds.
Members are encouraged to use "Members Welcome" section of the web site Events Calendar and other interactive features available via our web site to network with other members, and make plans to meet together at any of the state PA meetings, local area CMDA, or other Fellowship meetings.
