What does "FCPA" represent? - "FCPA" represents the abbreviation for the "Fellowship of Christian Physician Assistants".
Where can I get general information about FCPA? – Please look through the names on our Contact Page (presently under revision).
Is FCPA affiliated with any particular religious group? – No. Our members come from a variety of Christian walks. It is our common faith in Christ and professional role as a Physician Assistant that ties us together. Check our web site for detailed information about our background, mission and statement of faith.
What are the benefits of joining FCPA? – You can join a group of believers who share a common vision as PA’s in service to Christ. FCPA members can network together using our new online Member Directory; affiliate with or help develop informal, local area fellowships at PA programs, states, or cities; and share in online discussion through member forums via our new Bulletin Board feature. Also, opportunities to serve as a team member with Short Term Mission trips, and perhaps qualify to receive Short Term Mission Grants available to qualified members. Members of FCPA are encouraged and are welcome to join as Associate Member partners with the Christian Medical and Dental Association (CMDA) and the "PA Community" on the CMDA web site.
What would my dues be used for? - 10% of our dues are designated to support Missions through supplemental funding of (a) Short Term Mission Grants for qualified members; (b) our "Serving As Senders" and (c) "Missions Foundation" funds. Dues also are used for expenses associated with annual FCPA meetings, speakers, exhibit expenses, and refreshments. Membership services through our web site, phone, and mail service based at CMDA headquarters, are also covered through dues.
Does the FCPA provide student scholarships? – Not at this time. We suggest contacting your school or the AAPA to research student funding opportunities.
Does the FCPA maintain a job list? – From time to time FCPA receives notices of some job possibilities which we share with our members. Feel free to contact our office (voice mail line: 423-844-1015) to determine if we have anything on file.
How can I get information on Medical Missions or Grants for Missions? – Contact FCPA via email with your interest. We will refer you to the Missions Coordinator.
Can FCPA help with prayer requests? – Yes. Please contact FCPA or the prayer request link on our web site.
How can I locate a Christian / faith based PA program? – Contact FCPA directly. We may be able to help with a list of programs.
How do I obtain a refund of FCPA membership dues? - Refund Policy: Refunds are available upon request within thirty (30) days of applying for membership. Send requests to treasurer@fcpa.net.
